From the moment you check in at Ruths Hotel, a sense of calm settles over you — and the experience begins. The first evening is spent in Ruths Brasserie, where a beautifully set table awaits. After breakfast served in your room, a truly special afternoon is ahead. You will be driven from Ruths Hotel to the harbor of Skagen, where the old fishing boat Oke is ready and waiting. Onboard, Executive Head Chef Jack Cramer welcomes you for a voyage on the Skagerrak.
While at sea, snacks and beverages are served. If the sea tempts you, you are welcome to try your hand with a fishing rod, while Jack shares stories and the philosophy that forms the foundation of Okê’s kitchen. An experience where you can feel and understand the unique interplay between nature’s ingredients and the precision of gastronomy. The afternoon at sea culminates in an evening at restaurant Okê. Here, the season’s signature menu awaits — composed with deep respect for the ingredients you’ve just become more familiar with. A dinner where you will taste, firsthand, the craftsmanship and vision that drive the kitchen each day.
Your expedition concludes on the final day with brunch in Okê’s tranquil surroundings, allowing the last impressions to settle before everyday life calls once again.
